Beginner’s Coding Class

Filed under: Uncategorized — Faith @ 9:25 pm

Physician Resources is dedicated to education and learning. The director, Diana Yates, CPC, made a life-changing decision to “go back to school” to learn medical coding, but there was no teacher! She struggled and succeeded on her own. This gave her a special understanding of the fears and demands of a family, a full-time job, and the time that is placed on you, the student. This class is designed to start at a slow pace to make sure that no student is left to learn alone.

Many times we find that biller’s in physician offices don’t really have the skills to enhance reimbursement for their physician’s. Biller’s aren’t coders Biller’s key from an encounter form that is already filled out by the physician or his/her staff. Learning the reason why we code the way we code is essential to every physician office. In the beginner’s class students will learn first hand about mystical modifers and how they impact reimbursement. A beginner student will learn the components of a CPT code in a non-threatening environment condusive to learning. If you have a passion to learn “why” then the Beginner’s class is the class for you!
