Credentialing is the process that the physician or non-physician extenders need to go through in order to obtain their billing provider numbers. It is critical that the application form be filled out accurately the first time around. Without errors on the application form, a provider can expect to see their provider billing numbers start rolling in about six weeks. Once information is gathered from the provider, it is necessary that we have access to the physician while the application is being processed.
